Broke in Tokyo

Day 3 in Tokyo... I don't know why I thought I'd have the time or energy to keep this thing up and running- I'll do my best!

Work is pretty nuts. Castings started as soon as I got picked up from the bus after my 11 and a half hour flight from LAX to Narita airport. I've been going to about 15 meetings a day. Tokyo's drivers are maniacs. Barreling down tiny streets at 50 miles an hour. People in the way? Who cares! They'll move as soon as they get hit by a car. Like nothing I've ever seen...
I'm living in Shinjuku which I hear is a pretty fun neighborhood, but the farthest I've ventured from home alone is the supermarket up the street. Terrifying. I'll be in there for 45 minutes with the simplest grocery list, lost and confused. Also, (I found this out after buying everything) you have to bring your own bag.. I found myself walking back home with arms full of food, dropping yoghurts and noodles left and right. Traumatic.
Broke. I'm living on an allowance from the agency which is fine, but they've told me I need to gain weight, so managing meals, travel, eventual shopping and such is kind of tricky. Gain weight, but we're only going to give you enough to live on noodles and Mcdonalds (which is like $8 for a meal. Not so cheap after all). My new favorite things are little stuffed rice triangles wrapped in seaweed from 7/11. I'm sure they have a name, but that's just one more thing I haven't learned yet.
Very jet lagged. The first morning I woke up at 6... then 530 but went back to sleep till 8. This morning I woke up at 11, but now it's past 330am and I'm wired... Should have gone out tonight after all.
I have the day off tomorrow, and I'm not too sure what to do. I'd rather not get lost.
Still need to unpack, my room is already a mess. It's lifeless and white, so the mess is comforting if anything.
Definitely time to attempt sleep. Pictures and such to come...
